Pelagia Akva Ren Djupvik
Akva Ren Djupvik has been an important partner for Norwegian aquaculture since 1992. Our factory is located in the northern part of Norway, Djupvik in Troms. For 30 years Akva Ren has worked together with the aquaculture industry, and contributed to the environment in a sustainable way.
Products
- Fish oil from category 2 and Fish protein concentrate category 2.
- We convert residual products from the aquaculture industry into sustainable energy. We are sustainability in practice, a good example of a circular economy.
- We collect, store and process marine category 2 by-products. Our processing plant in Djupvik produces fish protein concentrate and fish oil from category 2 focusing on heat recovery systems and low energy consumption.
Activity
- Production of marine concentrate and oil from category 2 by-products
- To be even more sustainable, the oil produced in Djupvik is used as biofuel to run our own processing plants. The oil is also used as an ingredient in the biogas production and for leather tanning.
