At Pelagia, we have one all-encompassing task – the optimal use of 100% of the fish we produce. To us, that makes perfect sense.
We believe that every part of every fish we process has a dedicated value, and combining that vantage point with our skillsets, we turn our raw materials into fish for human consumption, health supplements, fish oil, protein concentrates, and essential ingredients for all kinds of fish- and animal feed.
In 2023, Pelagia processed 1.400.000 tonnes of fish at our sites with a turnover of 13.000 MNOK, making us one of the most significant players in the world.
From our vantage point in the North Atlantic, we are able to process and refine the world’s most sustainable sources of marine proteins. Always making sure that 100% of the raw material is used, and making sure that we have the lowest possible footprint in our production.

Pelagia Food
Pelagia Food produces marinated, filleted and round products of pelagic fish for worldwide markets. We have production facilities close to the fishing grounds along the coast of Norway, from Honningsvåg in the north to Egersund in the south. Pelagia Food also have production in Skagen, Denmark and Grimsby and Lerwick in UK.
Pelagia Health
Through the Epax-brand, Pelagia Health produces world class nutraceutical products and high concentrated Omega-3 oils. Epax has been a leader in Omega-3 for many decades, and is in the forefront of developing new health supplements from high quality pelagic raw materials.
Pelagia Feed
Pelagia Feed’s core business is production of marine ingredients for fish and animal feed. Pelagia Feed also produces biofuel and soil improvement products. The products are made from wild caught fish not used for human consumption, and trimmings from both food production from pelagic, white fish and salmon. Self-dead farmed fish is used for biofuel and soil improvement purposes. The production and storage facilities are located in Norway, UK and Ireland.
Support and Services
Our logistics support the operations with internal and external resources. There are seven ships operating in the North Sea supporting both our suppliers and our own production facilities in addition to vehicles on land. Together with the logistics of trimmings we also provide emergency service along the coasts. The expertise is also extended to supply of equipment necessary for keeping the quality of the trimmings from production to pickup.
